I have 25+ years experience in the Semiconductor Manufacturing industry in various Engineering and Engineering Management roles.  I have worked with some of the most influential companies in the field such as Intel, Globalfoundries, Motorola and Analog Devices, in USA, Ireland and Germany.  2 patents, 3 publications.

So why does an Engineer become involved with Stock Market Trading?

Like everyone else, I was dissatisfied with observing periods of strong stock market gains being regularly wiped out by "crashes" - to an Engineer, this was highly inefficient.  Surely, there had to be a technique to hold onto gains while the market was in a downturn.  I always had an interest in the stock market since first working in the US, watching Financial News Network after getting off night shift in Motorola became a habit.

Timing?

It became apparent in recent years that Engineering jobs in traditional areas were disappearing and not coming back, so a career change was necessary.  All Engineers have analytical skills - I decided to apply mine to an area where i had some interest, in the expectation that I could generate an income during gaps in my Engineering employment.
